Yes, I used to be named Vivian and Tina by my english teacher in elementary school, but I didn’t like it. There’s a singer called Skylar Grey, I really liked her voice and sky has a connection with my Chinese name, so I started to use the name Skylar since middle school.

It is often misspelled as “Skyler”, and then the name is unisex and there have been a few times when people thought I was a boy.
